I can't get enough of this drama. There's just something so incredibly beautiful about the way these scenes are done (like the shot they showed with their shadows shown through the screen wall along with the moving music). It's the subtle things - the slight glances of emotion, the underlying meaning behind the words spoken, the inner conflict you can sense behind these characters. This drama is just so well-written and filmed. There's a charming quality to it that's so different from the other historical dramas - it has created a soft spot in my heart for it! I've thoroughly enjoyed each episode and look forward to see how it all ends
Concerteza o melhor dorama que já vi, os atores interpretaram muito bem os personagem, a trilha sonora combina perfeitamente com a história, o amor do rei Yi é impossível de ser escondido as forma com que ele deixa isso claro me deixa feliz e ao mesmo tempo triste.
I still have this feeling that if from the beginning she accepted his love and they did not allow others to interfere in their lives, They would have been happy because they deserve to be happy, but the struggle of minds is what made their love a tragedy.
I mean she did want more freedom which is not possible if she becomes his concubine and she will forever remain only one of his concubines, so interverences would have sadly always happened. Her trying to distance herself from such a life is very much understandable.
I actually say the opposite. What attracted him to her the most is that he couldn't fully have her. He is the king, so he can basically have anything and any woman he wants. Yet, she didn't give him all of herself and that tugged at his heart & ego. This slowly built in him a greater and greater desire to consume her spirit. She kept running and he kept chasing. In the process he fell in love because she gave him time to know her as a person, and not just as a woman to sleep with. If he could have fully had her early on, he wouldn't of fell that deeply in love. Plus, the fact she valued herself over him makes him respect her more than woman that throw themselves onto him because he is the king.
